The mobility and transport planning will face major challenges: Urbanisation, demographic change and new technologies. The Interreg IVB-Project NISTO – New Integrated Smart Transport Options – developed an integrated mobility planning toolkit facilitating the evaluation of mobility concepts. The evaluation framework offers methods to appraise regional or local mobility projects in terms of their sustainability, stakeholder preferences, societal impact and policy target achievements.

With the NISTO final conference on ‘SMART MOBILITY PLANNING – The innovative evaluation toolkit’ on 16th November 2015 in Brussels’s Representation of the State of Hessen to the EU, the NISTO project partners proudly present the NISTO evaluation toolkit for smart integrated mobility planning in Europe, the first toolkit combining the Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA), Social Cost-Benefit Analysis (SCBA), Multi-Actor-Multi-Criteria Analysis (MAMCA) as well as target monitoring.
